Hexblade’s Curse: Once per day, as a free action, a hexblade can unleash a curse upon a foe. The target must be visible to the hexblade and within 60 feet. The target of a hexblade’s curse takes a –4 penalty on attacks, saves, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls for 1 hour thereafter. A successful Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 hexblade’s class level + hexblade’s Cha modifier) negates the effect. At every four levels beyond 1st (5th, 9th, 13th, and 17th) a hexblade gains the ability to use his curse one additional time per day, as indicated on Table 1–1. Multiple hexblade’s curses don’t stack, and any foe that successfully resists the effect cannot be affected again by the same hexblade’s curse for 24 hours.
Arcane Resistance (Su): At 2nd level, a hexblade gains a bonus equal to his Charisma bonus (minimum +1) on saving throws against spells and spell-like effects.
Mettle (Ex): At 3rd level and higher, a hexblade can resist magical and unusual attacks with great willpower or fortitude. If he makes a successful Will or Fortitude save against an attack that normally would have a lesser effect on a successful save (such as any spell with a saving throw entry of Will half or Fortitude partial), he instead completely negates the effect. An unconscious or sleeping hexblade does not gain the benefit of mettle.
Combat Casting: Gain +4 on concentration checks for defensive casting.
Improved Critical Falchion: Doubles threat range of chosen weapon.
Quickdraw: Draw Weapon as free action.
Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Repeater Crossbow
Point Blank Shot: +1 bonus on ranged attack and damage within 30 ft.
Rapid Shot: One extra ranged attack each round.
Self-Mutilator: His body is covered in scars due to ritualistic self-mutilation, the scars have hardened, and toughened his skin giving him +1 natural armor bonus.
Inquisitor Ariakas is a solitary, devout individual. Born as an orphan, he was raised at a monastery of Aren, where after mastering the All Father’s teachings, transitioned into the school of Theology at the Citadel, where he trained to become an Inquisitor.
Finally becoming accepted into the order, Ariakas continued with his studies, but also adopted the stricter teachings of Aren, where he would fast, as well as ritualistically beat himself to represent eternal torment as a mortal.
Ariakas’ devotion is regarded highly among his peers, but he is also known for being accepting. Working alongside mercenaries, and golden hands, Ariakas has gone on many missions to break those that disobeyed the teachings of Aren, as well as punishing those that the Inquisition was sent to hunt.
With the help of the heroes, Ariakas had successfully assasinated the former Emperor of Maribor, and threw the city state in chaos. Having gone missing, he has reunited with the Wardens, surviving attempts at his life, he now leads a legate of Wardens, and is second to Silas as his right hand.
